Our Current Classes.
Registration for the Halloween Stage is open!
The classes at Paris Playhouse are varied and full of high energy. We focus on the craft of stage theatre — working around scripted texts, improvisation, and devising as a group. For the younger students we focus on boosting confidence, fostering creativity, and encouraging teamwork. We echo these same principals with the older group while layering in concepts of character development, story arc, and textual analysis.
A sample class would be as follows:
1) Warm up and energy games
2) A chat about a theatre topic we'll be exploring during that class (examples include: What is character? What are the different jobs at a theatre? What is improvisation?)
3) Improvisation exercises and/or script work
4) Work on the final performance
This is, of course, a highly flexible schedule and for every class we come prepared to cater to the needs of the students. If something we have planned doesn't resonate with the group, we always have alternative options.
As our intensives and classes progress, we also incorporate small group work, which is one of the benefits of our class size vs. teacher count (10 students, 2 teachers). We pride ourselves in our attentiveness to each student's individual needs.
This level, for children ages 5 to 7, will focus on theatrical games and communication.
We’ll introduce the kids to the exciting world of theatre, and will perform fun skits at the end of the stage. Come prepared for some Halloween magic!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay the tuition up front?
No! We understand that parents have a lot of costs regarding after school activities. We’ll ask for a nonrefundable 20 euros inscription fee, and then parents will have the option of paying per semester, or per year. We do ask for the full tuition on day one of our three day stages, though.
Will there be a full performance at the end?
For our semester long classes, there will be a larger performance at the end of each semester. However, for our stages we’ll perform smaller skits as opposed to larger shows. In both cases, the kids will have the opportunity to showcase all they’ve learned for their families.
Are inscriptions open?
Inscriptions for our weekly classes for the school year of 2019-2020 are now open, and inscriptions for the stages for school vacations are updated every couple of months. We can keep you posted if you sign up for our newsletter.
